1812 Clinton, Dutchess County, NY will of Gilbert Tompkins (1771-1812)

Description

Legibly written will in great condition of Gilbert Tompkins of Clinton, Dutchess County, NY along with a Dutchess County probate document. Various sums of money, furniture and land were bequeathed to Tompkins’s wife and many children. Executors were Michael Tompkins (brother) and Peter Schriver (or Schryver - perhaps the brother of Tompkins’s wife Maria Schriver). Witnesses were Peter Lewis, Uriah Smith and John Thurston.
Its condition is very good with some age toning, creases and minor edge tears.
