We send also, in conformity with your desire, a Barrel of Barclay's Porter and a ham for Mr. Sproat. We value the good opinion you entertain of the Master of this vessel, Capt. Lamolle, who was Capt. Ferrier's mate. Considering the fine quality, or rather beautiful colour of the cask of arrow root, the price is certainly very little, but we have a parcel of 50 boxes sent us from Barbados, a very inferior colour to yours, for which no more than 4c p. lb. has been offered. Enclosed are two letters I send for you this morning p. the packet. The only letter we have from Jamaica is from Mr. Cales. It is dated 19 Oct. It contains information of the general health of the island, and that the apprentices on your two Estates under his care were working well, and also that Perins afforded a fair prospect for the ensuing crop. With sincere respect we remain, Dear Sir, Your most obedient humble Servants, Nelson, Adam & Nelson [name written at bottom of sheet]Sir Henry Fitz Herbert Bart.
