Up for auction is a vintage stampless cover with letter that was written at and mailed from Mifflintown, Pennsylvania and addressed to Colonel Reah Frazer, Lancaster City, PA. Letter is dated October 3, 1840 and has to do with a committee of men asking Col. Frazer to a meeting of Democratic citizens of Juniata and adjoining counties. Among the other speakers slated are J. Forney and James Buchanan. Those on the committee who wrote the letter include Lewis Burchfield, James Frow, and Robert Barnard. This is a single sheet legal size paper that has a nasty bottom edge tear and other edge roughness. Has a few foldline cuts and staining.25 covers shipping in the USA.
