    1852 James Hume one of Her Majesty’s Justices of Peace for the Town and Settlement of Calcutta, sentences Frances Cretelle for beating up a constable Noyjeeboollah to 15 days jail in default paying a fine of Rupees 5, hands him over to Calcutta Sheriff John Deffel and Jeremiah King Governor Calcutta Jail, for bringing him back after expiry of Jail Term for his discharge in due course of Law.
