Up for auction is a vintage letter written on advertising letterhead of the Driard, a hotel situated in Victoria, British Columbia.  Letter is dated September 1, 1884 and is addressed to Mrs. Robert L. Harris, Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  Letter was from the addressee's daughter, Mary.  Lettersheet is in nice condition.  Cover has top edge damage and two tone staining on back, where there is a Port Townsend Washington postmark and a not quite complete "Kicking Mule" transit cancel postal marking..,
