  • Condition: 1966 Corvette 427 Blcok---GM #3869942 Engine Block-Dated AI86 (Jan 18, 1966). This is a 2-Bolt Main High Performance block that is correct for a mid to late production L36 427/390HP Corvette. Block still retains original broached pad with Corvette IL code and VIN. Block has been thoroughly checked at our machine shop and pressure tested for cracks. Guaranteed buildable. Bore is 4.270 which is .020 over and will clean up and build at .030 over. We are a 47+ years in business award winning Engine Machine Shop that specializes in building numbers matching BBC's 65-74 for Corvettes---primarily Special Hi Performance 396's, 427's and early 454's. We have over 150 blocks, heads, crankshafts and other parts in our vast inventory so call with your needs. Also Chevelles, Camaros, Novas and Impala/Passenger cars.     1966 Corvette 427 Blcok---GM #3869942 Engine Block-Dated AI86 (Jan 18, 1966).
    This is a 2-Bolt Main High Performance block that is correct for a mid to late production L36 427/390HP Corvette.  Block still retains original broached pad with Corvette IL code and VIN.  Block has been thoroughly checked at our machine shop and pressure tested for cracks. Guaranteed buildable.  Bore is 4.270 which is .020 over and will clean up and build at .030 over.
    NCRS Allows for a minimal deduction for a block that has an original Corvette VIN on it---so we left this as is.  We can also deck this and prepare it for matching a car--Call for additional details
