    This is a
    totally
    New Style of Huipil
    from the
    Tzotzil
    Mayan Community of
    Zinacantan in the highlands of
    Chiapas.
    This top was entirely handwoven on a back strap loom.  The
    weavers from Chiapas are very sophisticated in their techniques, designs and color combinations....
    these particular tunics are
    very modern in their
    design
    aesthetic
    and remind me of an oversized houndstooth pattern...
    I have a number of these new Huipils in the most interesting color combinations....
    This medium weight cotton measures 22 inches across (total 44 inches around) and 24 inches Long, huipil will fit a Medium Size Woman.
    It is a wonderful example of contemporary fashion trends such as,
    Frida Kahlo, Fiesta, Santa Fe, Hippie, Boho, Peasant, Gypsy, South Western, Cowgirl Style.
