Description

Here is an original pair of VERY hard to find LEFT and RIGHT GM Body color REMOTE sport mirrors. Complete with attaching hardware, chrome escutcheons, mounting brackets, and gaskets.
Still wearing the original Starlight Black paint applied at the Ypsilanti Michigan Pontiac plant (GM). These were on a 1976 Ventura SJ I ordered with (33) options.

Here they are!  Both housing's are in excellent condition, no dents or cracks, only show a scuff or two as well as typical stone chips.  The cables are very nice, no corrosion or frayed ends.  Both work and accurately move the reflective mirrors.  The glass is original and nice--- showing only a few very minor scratches.  The right glass

HAS no wording.)
Both cables retain their original black vinyl protective shielding (sleeve).  The right remote cable is extra long (approx 70"), as its adjusting/ actuating control stalk was originally mounted on a space above the dash mounted ashtray near the dash center.             A rare find
The left side door mounting bracket & screw is included.  The Right side is attached to the door via two studs with nuts  (does not have a screw.)  This is the way they were installed at the GM plant when the car was built. I stripped the car in1995, these mirrors have been in storage since then.
These are not show ready as they are. They could be installed and look great on a driver quality, or, they could be  easily restored to like new appearance with minimal effort. The glass is not cracked or discolored- but it isn't new.  It is presentable and usable just as it is ....BUT, if you're looking for perfect glass, reproductions are available.
As I said, I ordered the car in 1975 and watched it literately, rust away into little piles.  I took many of the options off (including these pair of mirrors), keeping them before the car was finally sent to scrapyard.  I have  now started selling some here and there on Ebay.
If you have looked for a set of these Factory original GM X-Body racing mirrors, here is an opportunity to get a pair of what may be one the nicest  original sets you will find.  The shiny Black paint is original, as are the glass mirrors.  There is no damage.       These mirrors WILL fit on any of the
1975 thru 1979 GM  X-Body cars,
Nova -- Ventura & Phoenix -- Skylark -- Omega.
They will fit others, but I can't advise you on what.
