Apollo 14 was the eight manned mission of NASA's Apollo program and the third to land on the moon. The crew consisted of Commander Alan Shepard [1923 1998], Command Module Pilot Stuart A. Roosa [1933 1994] and Lunar Module Pilot Edgar Mitchell [1930 2016]. The mission launched on January 31, 1971, and landed on the lunar surface on February 5 were Shepard and Mitchell spent 33 hours on the moon. Listed for auction is an stunning display which contains the autographs of the Apollo 14 crew signed on a commemorative cover. The cover contains  an attractive ink cachet and the autographs are signed as follows, ''Alan Shepard'' in blue pen, ''Ed Mitchell'' in black pen and Stuart A. Roosa'' in black felt pen. The cover is postmarked Cape Canaveral, Fl, Feb 5, 1971,[ date of lunar landing] and is affixed with [1] one U.S. postage stamp. The cover measures 6.50 x 3.50 inches and is in fine condition. The autographs have been authenticated by Zarelli Space Authentication and will be accompanied with the above Letter of Authenticity. The display is centered around a stunning panoramic image of the Apollo 14 landing site. The image shows the Apollo 14 lunar lander with Old Glory our dear American Flag and commander Alan Shepard working on the lunar surface. ounted within the display is a Apollo 14 Mission patch and a NASA logo patch and a professionally engraved metal plaque which reads as follows, ''Apollo 14  Stuart A. Roosa, Alan B. Shepard, Jr., Edgar D. Mitchell. January 31, 1971 Mission Duration 9 Days, 1 Minute, 58 seconds. Apollo 14 was the eight crewed mission in the United States Apollo program, the third to land on the Moon, and the first to land in the lunar highlands. It was the last of the ''H'' missions, targeted landings with two-day stays on the moon with two lunar EVA's, or moonwalks.'' The display has been professionally assembled with all acid free materials with great attention to details as follows. Each item has been triple matted in a unique grey linen outer matte and accented with a silver and a blue inner matte. The display has been completed in a quality silver wood frame to the dimension of 31.00 x 21.00 inches and it is stunning. Apollo 14 crew autographs are a favorite of the space collector and can be difficult to obtain with the early passing of Stuart Roosa. The autographs are genuine, authentic, hand signed examples signed on an attractive commemorative cover and the display will be a desirable addition to any collection.
