    Description

    James Benson Irwin [1930 1991] was a American astronaut, aeronautical engineer, test pilot and the eight person to walk on the moon during the Apollo 15 mission.
    Listed for auction is a exceedingly rare WSS White Space Suit lithograph signed by James Irwin. Avid astronaut collectors are well aware of the rarity of this image. Speculation is that he did not like the image and this is why they are rarely found both signed and unsigned, in fact even autopen examples sell for a few hundred dollars. This example is an original vintage lithograph released by NASA and the autograph is dedicated and signed ''My very best wishes Jim Irwin Apollo 15'' and he added a moon crest in black felt tip pen. The lithograph measures 8.00 x 10.00 inches, it has ''trivial'' edge wear to the white border, it has retained all of its colors and is in fine condition. The autograph has been authenticated by Zarelli Space Authentication and will be accompanied with the above Letter of Authenticity. This is a desirable example, in fine condition, exceedingly rare and usually the ''last one needed'' to complete a WSS NASA lithograph moonwalker collection. We have also listed the following Apollo mission crews, Apollo 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, along with a nice collection of military, aviation and astronaut autographs.
