Arthur C. Clarke signature British Interplanetary Society certificate 1952

  • Modified Item: No
  • Original/Reproduction: Original
  • Condition: Arthur C. Clarke signature is clear, unsmudged, and hand-written (not auto-pen, stamp, or reproduction, etc.). Certificate itself is in good condition - I'd say great, but at some point, someone added "wings" to it to make it fit properly in the frame. The 'wings' are just slim pieces of matcing blue paper that are taped on the the top and bottom of certificate, from the back. They could be easily removed without changing the appearance of the certificate, and they are not visible in frame. The certificate paper is light blue, and it has been under glass, in this frame, for at least 60 years, and has lived most of its life in a library drawer, away from light, dust, pests, mildew, etc. Happy to supply more photos and answer all questions!
