    "Minutes of a plot of Land surveyed for Colo. Daniel Lewis, by the subscriber.... Timothy Shaw."
    Ten acres on the west side of the middle branch of the
    Mousam River
    .  Likely Sanford, York County, Maine [at the time Massachusetts] which is next to Alfred, ME.  Landowner's mentioned here are Jeremiah Trafton, Joseph Person (q- Pearson, Pierson), & Jotham Allen.
    Col. Daniel Lewis
    was a son of Maj. Morgan Lewis & Sarah Tripp.  Jeremiah Trafton was married to Daniel's sister Sarah.
    Gen. Timothy Shaw
    (1783-1870) was a teacher, tavernkeeper, merchant, entrepreneur, and Sanford Corner postmaster.
    The Mousam River flows down through Kennebunk.
    Circa April 1817, based on a similar Shaw document that was found with this one.
    Overall very good condition. Approx. 8-1/2 x 5-1/4 inches. 1 page.
