  • Condition: Up for auction is an Estee Lauder Kathrine Baumann multicolored American Flag compact. Kathrine Baumann founded her company in 1988 and specializes in designing luxury evening bags (minaudieres) and other women’s accessories like this compact. Due to the intricate rhinestone designs, these compacts are very desirable even if they have lost a few rhinestones. I have to say upfront that several of the rhinestones have been replaced with a flat like sparkly stone, not a rhinestone. These replacements are located on the front 2 sides. Photos # 4, # 6 & #7. I have circled the areas which I have found which have been replaced. I counted about 6 stones that have been replaced, but there could be more I don’t know. All else is in good working condition including the snap, mirror and other rhinestones. See description for additional information & photos.

    Up for auction is an Estee Lauder Kathrine Baumann multicolored American Flag compact.  Kathrine Baumann founded her company in 1988 and specializes in designing luxury evening bags (minaudieres) and other women’s accessories like this compact.  Due to the intricate rhinestone designs, these compacts are very desirable even if they have lost a few rhinestones.

    Compact has blue red and clear faceted rhinestones plus some clear star rhinestones.  It is truly a work of art!
    The compact opens and closes easily with a loud snap when closed.  The snap is a small brass button closure.
    The hinges are good
    The interior does not have a powder puff
    The mirror is in very good condition
    The compact is signed on the edge of the compact
