Gala Huipil from Jalapa in Tuxtepec
Mexico it is embroidered in
Red
embroidery
thread

Creamy White 100% Cotton Manta
fabric.
The front and back are
entirely covered
with embroidered flowers and birds...  This is one of the types of huipils worn by the
Flor Pina Dancers
who are always a favorite at the
Guelaguetza
dance festival.  The
100% Cotton Manta dresses do not turn up as often as those done on Rayon
.  Personally I prefer the Cotton Manta Huipils from Jalapa...
The width is 28
inches (56 inches around) 44 inches long will fit a Medium to Extra Large size
woman.
Please note that there are blue embroidery guide lines visible
on parts of this dress.  this is common on this type of huipil, and in no way deters from the beauty of this garment.
