    Description

THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY
    Twelve Slogan / Quote Buttons
    Twelve
1.25" pinback buttons with quotes from Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," which was a 1978 radio series, a 1979 novel, a 1981 BBC TV series, a 1984 text-based computer game by Infocom, a 2005 film by Garth Jennings, and a fictional book that was the namesake of all of the previous works.
The broad narrative of 'Hitchhiker' follows the misadventures of Arthur Dent, who may be the last human alive following the demolition of the planet Earth by Vogons to make way for a hyperspace bypass. Dent is rescued from Earth's destruction by Ford Prefect, a human-like alien writer for the eccentric, electronic travel guide The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Following his rescue, Dent explores the galaxy with Prefect and encounters Trillian, another human; the two-headed Zaphod Beeblebrox; and the depressed Marvin, the Paranoid Android.
Re-Elect Beeblebrox - for those of you who insist on a politician who looks at problems from two angles.
Don't Try to Outweird Me! - Think you're hipper than Zaphod Beeblebrox?
He's so hip he can barely see over his own pelvis.
    And weirder than snake shoes.
Worst-Dressed Sentient Being in the Known Universe - a mark of Mr. Beeblebrox's total and utter hoopyness.
Don't Panic - some soothing advice from the eponymous book.
Do You Know Where Your Towel Is? - a valuable reminder for all those hitchhiking anywhere in the universes.
Mostly Harmless - In that valuable reference tome, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Earth was described as 'harmless.'
After Arthur Dent left it and went on a rather implausible set of adventures, the listing was amended to read 'Mostly Harmless.'
Hoopy Frood - A with-it guy, a man who knows where his towel is.
Zaphox Beeblebrox may be the epitome of this type
I Could Never Get The Hang of Thursdays - A catchphrase of Arthur Dent
Life, Don't Talk To Me About Life - One of many cheery sayings from the mouth (or speaker) of Marvin the Paranoid Android
42 - the final answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.
So Long And Thanks For All The Fish - Before the Earth was destroyed to make room for an interstellar bypass, all of the dolphins disappeared. The only clue to their whereabouts was a crystal ball engraved with this saying
I Think You Ought To Know I'm Feeling Very Depressed - Marvin is a depressed android, there's no doubt about that. Brain the size of a planet and they ask him to run errands.
These buttons would look good on your bathrobe, on your towel, or on the headband adorning either of your heads!
