Description
Item for SaleThis antique Elderly Minister Edo doll originates from the Meiji era (1852-1912) and is a recreation of a retainer to the Japanese Emperor. Musha and Edo dolls typically represent specific historical figures of Japan's past, this one in particular would represent the elder minister Takecnouchi no Sukune, the retainer for Emperor Ojin. This doll feature vibrantly colored flower-vine silk design of orange on beige on the jacket, and a beige on red flower design on the trousers.
This antique doll measures 10.5" in height, 6" in width, and 3" in depth. It is in great condition, and is a valuable collector's item.
