    Kentucky estate Includes five slaves with one who is “very old”
    Russell Martin, John Patty (1768 - 1833), and George Brown prepared this inventory of the estate of Alan Richardson for the Franklin County court. The county seat of Franklin county is the state capital of Frankfort. The inventory of Richardson’s estate included five slaves six horses 11 cattle 28 sheep 36 hogs and a variety of crops furniture and household goods.
    The appraisers assigned a value of 00 to Richardsons five slaves and approximately 0 to the remainder of his personal property. Elizabeth Richardson, his widow and likely his administratrix, Add a note at the end of the inventory, “In addition to the above inventory there is to be added two hundred and ten dollars cash left on hand by the descendent.” Therefore, apart from his real property, Richardson slaves comprised just over 2/3 of his estate at his death.

    Allen Richardson married Elizabeth Jones Payne in 1811 in Franklin County Kentucky. In 1810, he lived in Franklin County and owned three slaves.
