I recently got in a shipment from Pueblawith a group of traditional blouses....
. This one was was
made in the Nahua community of Tlaola in Puebla Mexico
. U
sing a technique called
Relleno
the artist has created stylized floral images on the front, back and sleeves in
shades of blues and greys.
This extraordinary blouse was made by a woman named
Justina (sorry i don't have a last name)
. The
embroidery is done in cotton threads and the body of this blouse is a T
aupe colored Rayon fabric, that drapes beautifully.
It measures;
17 inches across the shoulders and 24 inches from arm pit to arm pit (total 48 inches around) and 29 inches Long.
It will fit a Large Size woman.
This Blouse is a wonderful example of
contemporary fashion trends
such as; South Western, Frida Kahlo, Hippie, Santa Fe, Peasant, Boho Chic, Cow Girl Style!
