Lovely Pair Spanish Silver Champagne Glasses Sherbets Chalices
Presented is a lovely pair of Spanish silver champagne glasses, sherbet dishes, or chalices. These pieces were likely made within the past 50 years. The dishes feature a beautiful design of grape clusters and leaves around the bases, with further foliate decoration around the edges of the bases and spiraling around the stems. The cups are quite heavy and well made, with a nice feeling of weight in the hand. We do not think there is any interior weighting or filling to the cups.
These pieces are in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each piece is stamped with the Spanish star shaped mark indicating a minimum silver purity of 915, as well as a maker's mark of a chalice inside a hexagonal punch.
Each cup stands about 5 3/8 inches tall.
The total weight for the pair is 362 grams or 12.8 regular ounces.
