    From 1500's to 1868 the slave trade flourished in Cuba mostly to support the world class Sugar Cane trade. In addition to indigenous enslavement. Over 1 million African were enslaved and brought to Cuba. In 1868 the slave trade was made illegal and not until 1880 was owning slaves made illegal by the Government. Unfolded flat dimensions : 17" x 12 3/8". Folded to 4 pages dimensions : 8 1/2" x 12 3/8".Condition is fine with a few tiny worm holes, almost un-noticable. Light handling. Some light foxing. Heavy damp staining at the head eroding a part of the top edge. Embossed and red tax stamp at the head is 20% obscured. Condition is consistent with its 146 years. Historic rarely seen document.
    This will be packed carefully and shipped flat in its own clear hard plastic top loader type holder.
