Sony D555 Discman Fully Overhauled Working perfectly

Description

This discman was totally overhauled: gears were changed, moving parts were silicone greased, electrolytic capacitors were replaced, and laser was checked to be strong and stable. After the work it was mornitored for three days for operation.
Advanced Sony functions were checked and are working perfectly, including Digital Playing Mode (EQ, Surround, Bass Boost and DDS, the effects can be easily felt with a pair of quality headphones), Play and Key Modes, Track Display as well as button controls. Optical digital output was verified and functions perfectly (as the photos show). Line signal output to amplifier is spotless as compared to Sony SCD-777ES. When mornitored with Sennheiser HD650 headphones, the sound is loud, clear and transparent, typical of the quality one could get from an audiophile CD player.
The appearance shows its age but is still good. It comes with its original AC adapter. The cover for optical port is in place. There is no return for this vintage Sony.
