Sony Discman D-35 w/ Case, External BP-4 Battery Holder, BP-5 Battery *Tested

Sony D-35 Discman Portable CD Player
Includes:
Original Sony D-35 specific snap-closed protective case
Sony BP-5 Battery (it does NOT hold a charge)
Sony BP-4 external AA battery holder (batteries not included) missing battery cover. Works but has some minor corrosion from previous leakage.
All buttons, switches and knobs are present and work as expected.
The internal BP-5 battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion.
I was able to power the Discman with the external AA battery box.
The Discman plays CDs, but skips frequently when held horizontally.
I tried several CDs, some were better than others. I noticed it skipped far less often when held vertically.
The D-35 has some scratches and scuffs. Has a number written on the backside of it. (please see all pictures)
