Swan Gravy Boat Pedestal Tray Set Spanish 916 Silver 1900
Spanish 916 standard silver set of a footed gravy boat with a pedestal tray. Boat has figural decoration on the top in form of a swan, nicely detailed and accented with engravings. Top and base edges feature applied ornate rims. Oval form tray is decorated with matching border and 4 figural swan feet. In the center, there is an oval mounting for the gravy boat. Made in c. 1900. Both pieces have "LO" in a hexagon mark.
This spectacular set measures: boat is 3 5/8" wide at the widest, 7" long from edge to spout and 5 1/2" tall, base is 4" long and 2 5/8" wide, swan decoration is 3" tall; tray is 9" long, 6 1/2" wide and 1" tall. Total weight is 1,151 grams or 37.12 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
