Vintage 1940s 1950s Red Obimakura Kitsuke Pillow Makura Accessory for Kimono

Very nice obi makura. Red and white traditional with fabric ties.
This was purchased at an estate auction in Northern Florida. It is part of an extensive textile collection that belonged to a diplomat who lived in Japan for many years in the 1950s and then the Ivory Coast in the 1960s. The quantity and quality of fabrics and accessories is one not often seen outside of Japan. Everything in the collection from Japan dates from 1960s or earlier.
I am by no means an expert in Japanese fabric and clothing. I have done my best to describe and identify the items. I have reached out to people with more knowledge than me when possible. That being said please do not replace my identification with your own research and knowledge. I stand by any description but do not want my customers to be disappointed if I have made a layman’s mistake.
